Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 May 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the GENIE learning platform
(genie.crowdbeam.eu, "the Platform")
collects, uses and protects personal data of learners, instructors and
visitors. The Platform is operated by VšĮ Robotikos mokykla
(robotikosmokykla.lt).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is VšĮ Robotikos mokykla. For any privacy question or to
exercise the rights described below, contact
[email protected].
2. What data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, preferred language,
and (if you choose to provide it) profile picture.
- Course activity — courses you enrol in, items you open,
quiz attempts, assignment submissions, forum posts, glossary entries,
lesson progress.
- Technical data — IP address, browser / mobile-app
version, language preference, timezone, and timestamps of your
visits, used for security, abuse prevention and basic analytics.
- Content you submit — anything you intentionally
upload (assignment files, forum posts, AI-generated outputs you
share with the class, etc.).
We do not collect special categories of personal data
(health, beliefs, biometrics) and do not require them for any course.
3. Why we process it (legal basis)
- Performance of the educational service — operating
the courses you enrolled in, tracking your progress, issuing
completion records. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
- Legitimate interest — keeping the Platform secure,
preventing abuse, improving the product. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
- Consent — optional analytics, marketing emails,
and any feature where we ask you first. You can withdraw consent
at any time. (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a))
4. AI features
Some learning activities (e.g. quiz feedback, content suggestions) may
use third-party AI services. When you interact with an AI feature, the
text you send and receive may be transmitted to those services for the
sole purpose of producing the response. We do not train external AI
models on your content, and we ask our providers to delete request
data on a short retention schedule. We never share your account
identifiers with these providers.
5. Who has access to your data
- You and the instructors of courses you are enrolled in.
- The Platform's technical operators (VšĮ Robotikos mokykla and contracted
hosting providers, including Aizen Logic acting as data
processor on behalf of VšĮ Robotikos mokykla), strictly for
operation and security.
- AI service providers, only for the duration of an AI request you
initiate.
- Authorities, only when required by law.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share
it with advertisers.
6. International transfers
Servers are located in the European Union. Some sub-processors (for
example AI service providers) may be located outside the EU; in that
case transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual
Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep it
- Account — for as long as your account is active,
plus 12 months after you delete it (for legal/dispute reasons),
then permanent deletion.
- Course activity — kept while you have an account;
anonymised summary statistics may be retained.
- Technical logs — typically 30–90 days.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- erase your data (right to be forgotten);
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- export your data in a portable format;
- withdraw any consent you previously gave;
- complain to your national data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email
[email protected].
We respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies and the mobile app
The website uses essential cookies for login sessions and language
preference, plus, with your consent, anonymous analytics. The mobile
app stores your session locally on your device only.
10. Children
The Platform is intended for adult professional education. We do not
knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child
has registered, please write to us and we will delete the account.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will notify registered users by email
and via an in-platform notice at least 14 days before the change takes
effect.
This page is also available via the Moodle mobile app's privacy-policy
link. For the full Terms of Service, see your enrolment confirmation
